Last day Hyundai launched its new 2009 version Santro in the market. Hyundai, the second largest after Maruti Suzuki comes with the new revised edition santro which provides more luxury interiors and improved exterior features to the customer.
The new Santro GL will powered by the 1,086 cc In-Line Engine which delivers a maximum power of 63 @ 5,500 (PS@rpm) and a mazimum torque of 9.8 @ 3,000 (kgm@rpm). It comes with a 5 speed manual transmission. The Hyndai Santro GL comes with a topspeed of 141 kmph and acceleration(0-100kmph) in 16.2 seconds. It has a fuel tank capacity of 35 litres and provides a fuel economy of 13.7 kmpl in city and 17.8 kmpl in highway.
As per the latest calculations, Santro has already sold about 15 lakh units and is the flagship vehicle of the company. Santro’s new model Non-Ac cost Rs 2.63 lakh and the GL and GLS cost Rs 3.28 lakh and Rs 3.48 lakh, respectively. Santro GL 2009 edition will also be available with LPG and the model will be available at Rs. 3.49 lakh and the Santro GLS LPG costs Rs 3.69 lakh.
