Key Features
Mahindra Bolero SLX 4WD is specially designed for rough riders. Its efficiency and high-performance stems from the all powerful XD3PU engine. You also enjoy superb power delivery of 68 HP at 4000 rpm and maximum torque of 137.5 Nm at 2000-2500 rpm. So, this is a vehicle that will satisfy you in every sense, right from speed to fuel efficiency. The turning radius of 5.4 meters is fine; but 180m ground clearance adds further value to this feature-rich vehicle. Ground clearance is really fine feature, especially for a vehicle like Mahindra Bolero SLX 4WD. This car is known for its mileage of 12.4 kmpl on highways and; on 9.1 kmpl city road; it comes 9.8 on an average.
Design
Apart from performance, this Mahindra Bolero SLX 4WD is a utility vehicle in the C segment of cars. This vehicle scores brownie points on interior front too. Its intelligent interior space management will give you all the convenience in the world. Ergonomic door grab handles, front door map pockets and strategically placed bottle holders are designed to give you a home-like comfort. Also, multi-directional AC and easy-to-operate MP3 deck will make your long drive an enthralling experience.
Cons
Though high performingMahindra Bolero SLX 4WD lets you down on the safety front. Anti-lock braking system and air-bags are missing in this vehicle. Its engine, though generates excellent power, is a bit noisy; this could be considered another drawback by some. Even the absence of leather seats could interfere with the comfort of those who travel in this car.
Conclusion
To sum up, Mahindra Bolero SLX 4WD offers you better fuel economy, more space and comfortable ride on bumpy roads.

Default Re: Mahindra bolero vs Tata sumo grande MKII
I'm probably not the right person to comment on this topic but with my very very limited experience with Bolero(CRDe engine one) I must say I was not disappointed with the vehicle. Recently did two drives, one 200+km(hills) and another 400+km (plains) drive. I was on the driver's seat for both these trips and hence my views are strictly from a driver's perspective. First thing is that I was pretty impressed with the torque and performance of the vehicle, probably because I was expecting it to be sluggish.ref=
Cars
The Bolero SLX has the distinctive Bolero look with its rough and rugged exteriors and is powered by the mighty m2DiCR Engine. Experience superior comfort with the all new wood finish central console, central locking system and an advanced Digital Display.
